Tour description

This tour will take you to one of the most dramatic parts of Iceland.

Pick up will be in Reykjavík and off we will go to the west part of this beautiful island.

We will stop for refreshments at Borgarnes. From there we will head to Ytri-Tunga which is a sandy beach, which is often called Seal Beach. On a good day we will be able to see seals resting or sunbathing on the many rocky outcrops in this area.

From there we will go to Rauðfeldsgjá which is a deep narrow ravine located in the glacier of Snæfellsjökull.
This is one of the highlights of the trip.

The next stop is Arnarstapi. This old fishing village has one of the most beautiful harbors in Iceland. It´s located on the cliffs, with an amazing view over the ocean.

From there we go to Búðir which is a hamlet in the lava fields with a small dock. There we will stop for lunch.

After lunch we will visit Djúpalónssandur or ´´The Black Lava Pearl Beach´´. There you can find the rusted wreckage of the fishing trawler Epine. Djúpalónssandur once had the biggest fishing village of Peninsula. From there we go on to Saxhóll. Saxhóll is one of the most popular craters on Snæfellsnes. It is possible to walk up and enjoy the view from there.

Our last stop is Kirkjufell which is the most photographed mountain in Iceland. It is located next to the small fishing village Gundarfjörður.
